حيات طيّبه

     سرگيجه اي بود

        در عرض و طولِ متروها و آسانسورها !

آدم ها را دوست دارم يعني دوستشان مي داشته ام. اما چه مي توان كرد وقتي هر كسي، برايم پرسشي بود كه ارزشش به فرصتي بستگي داشت كه براي گشودن رازش و حل معمايش صرف مي كردم و چه غمي از اين بزرگتر كه بسياري از اين آدميان به اندازه ي پا سُست كردني هم فرصت گره گشايي لازم نداشتند، به قدر نوشيدن فنجاني چاي  يا حوصله ي گفتگويي  ياوه و بي سرانجام !

دستت را از روي قلب ناتمام و بيمارت بردار.  به انكار عذابي كه ويران ات كرده تبسمي به لب بياور … به نشانه ي دوست داشتن همه ي كساني كه با  نگاه و ريشخندي عاقل اندر سفيه از تو مي خواهند تا زيبايي هاي زندگي را ببيني ، خودت را تافته ي جدا بافته نداني،   مغرور نباشي و تلخ ننويسي …

   به جستجوي كمي مرگ …

دلّال هاي رندِ ناصرخسرو هم

                  دست و بالشان خالي بود .

تا کند گل در تو فروردین ، گِلی ناچیز باش

خالی از هر آرزو، بودا شو، بر بودن بخند

پیش خواهش های شیرین، خسرو ِ پرهیز باش

بر خلاف عادت مردم که بی علت خوش اند

گاهگاهی از غمی ناگفتنی لبریز باش

هق هقی گم باش گاهی در بلندِ قهقهه

تهمتِ دیوانگی شو، گریه ی یکریز باش

شمس بودن یا شدن سخت است در این روزگار

سال ها بن بست بودی، کوچه ای تبریز باش

این غزل هم که کهن شد، ای جنون ِ نو شدن !

واژه ای همسایه ی دلتنگی من نیز باش …

            پستوي استعاره ها

در جايگاهِ ويژه

ايستاده سلطان محمود

       و جابه جا مي كند بر سر

           دستار ِ سبز ِ وزير اعظم  را

غروبي آهسته

     هلهله ي مُشتي رند  و

      سنگبارانِ ِ  مُرده ي ِ حسنك …

تجسّدهاي نو در حلقه ي تن هاي تكراري؟

 بهار كاغذي تقدير اين باغ است  و هر باغي

كه  دل خوش كرده با  عطر شكفتن هاي تكراري

رهايي ؛ آرمانشهري ست گم در ناكجا ويران

تو دون كيشوتي و  اين  دوست / دشمن هاي تكراري…

براي آن  كه تبعيد است در  حبس وطن  تا مرگ

نخوان افسانه  ي تاريخ و ميهن هاي تكراري

          ..

دوباره پنجم اسفند و  شمع  ديگري خاموش

Narration of The Epic Shahnama on JNU Campus

A program of narration of the world famous epic “Shahnama” was organized by Mr Nemat Solat,Vice President, JNU Foreign Students’ Association in collaboration with the Iran Culture House, New Delhi on the 4 March, 2009 at SIS lawn

The event was inaugurated by Dr. Syed Akhtar Husain, Associate Professor, SLL&CS, CPCAS. At the outset, he introduced Ustad Ameer Sadeqi, the renowned Persian narrator of the epic the Shahnama and Dr Abdolhamid Ziaei, the Director of Iran Culture House, New Delhi to the JNU audience. In his opening speech he described, the importance of the Shahnama of Ferdosi and the tradition of narrating Shahnama as 1000 years old. The poet has immortalized the ancient legendary kings and heroes of Iran in the epic. It is a literary masterpiece and there is no comparable work ever written before or after it in the annals of Persian literature. It is indeed a history of Iran’s glorious past, preserved in majestic verses for all time to come. And the most important feature of Ferdosi’s Shahnama is the use of Persian language. During his time, the Arabic language was known as the main language of science and literature. On the contrarily Ferdosi used only Persian for the composition of his masterpiece and thus he claimed that ‘Persian language was revived by this work’ and established Persian as the language of literature in the Islamicate society

According to Dr Syed Akhtar Husain, for over thousand years the Persians have continued to read and listen to the recitation of this masterpiece in which the Persian national glory and ethos are revealed and unfolded. Though the poem was written about 1000 years ego, the work is still comprehensible to a common Iranian as it was during the time of Ferdosi. The language of Shahnama has the potentiality of becoming “common man’s” language. After the inaugural speech, Dr Syed Akhtar Husain invited Dr Abdolhamid Ziaei to address the audience

Dr Abdolhamid Ziaei started his speech with a focus on importance of culture in Iranians’ life and said that the despite changes in time, society and dynasties, our culture has remained the same. According to him, India and Iran has had a long standing relationship. There are lots of similarities between the two countries in their culture, custom and ways of living. Further he added that there are three famous epics in the world 1- The Ramayana 2-The Iliad and the Odyssey and 3- The Shahnama. The Shahnama is the national epic of Persia. Like many epics, it is framed as a history. In its pages one can find unforgettable moments of national triumph and failure, human courage and cruelty and blissful grief. The epic is filled with many great adventures, memorable and colorful characters, imaginary landscapes and remote kingdoms, which are encompassed in a rich and a poetic verses that tend to remind every Iranian of his glorious past

He concluded his speech by saying that the Shahnama is full of creativity, which has influenced our great masters to perform art and propagate the wisdom of Iran. Hence Ferdosi is called Hakim or the Wise Man of the East. The masterpiece is also a spiritual epic and the message of the entire stories boil down to the ethical and moral growth and development of man. Ferdosi has taught the people of Iran among many things the spirit of generosity and nobility.

The Shahnama has been considered for long as the “letters of the king”, however this is a misconception and misnomer. In reality it is the “king of letters” or a magnum opus. Concluding his speech Dr. Abdolhamid Ziaei introduced Ameer Sadiqi and also requested him to narrate some events from the Shahnama and enact them

Ameer Sadiqi started his speech with the recitation of the first lines from the Shahnama

be nam e khodavaend e jan o kheraed
kazin bartar andishe bar nagzarad

(In the name of the lord of life and wisdom, who cannot be conceived by human speech)

This was followed by a brief explanation about the life of Ferdosi. Ferdosi was born in about 940AD near Toos in Iran. He toiled for 30 years to complete the epic. He wrote it with the hope to get monetary gain for his daughter’s dowry from Mahmud of Ghazn. Ferdosi took Shahnama to the king, who promised him 60,000 gold coins but the king did not keep his promise and gave him only silver coins instead of gold

Ameer Sadiqi narrated events and stories from the epic with special tones, feelings and expressions. He regaled the audience of JNU with the dramatic presentations from the epic. Once he finished his narration, Sadiqi with all his humbleness said that all his efforts were only meant to pay homage to Ferdosi. Ameer Sadiqi also recited his own poem in which he praised JNU, its teachers and encouraged students to read and learn the   Shahnama
